AL JINN (THE JINNS)

Section 1

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

[Jinn 72:1] Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), ï¿½I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ï¿½We have heard a unique Qurï¿½an.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:2] ï¿½That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:3] ï¿½And that our Lordï¿½s Majesty is Supreme - He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:4] ï¿½And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:5] ï¿½Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!ï¿½

[Jinn 72:6] ï¿½And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:7] ï¿½And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:8] ï¿½And we reached the sky, so we found it strongly guarded and filled with comets.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:9] ï¿½And that we sometimes used to sit in some places in the sky, to listen; so whoever now listens finds a fiery comet waiting for him.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:10] ï¿½And we do not know whether harm is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends goodness for them.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:11] ï¿½And among us some are virtuous and some are the other type; we are split into several branches.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:12] ï¿½And we are certain that we cannot defeat Allah in the earth, nor can we run out of His grasp.ï¿½

[Jinn 72:13] ï¿½And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear - neither of any loss nor of any injustice.ï¿½
